Description

A warm, rustic oil burner with a hammered brass bowl and cast iron base, with space beneath for a tealight.

Size and materials

  • Base: Cast iron.
  • Bowl: Hammered brass, approximately 10.2cm wide.
  • Frame: Approximately 14.6cm wide.
  • Height: Approximately 7.6cm with bowl.

How to use

Add water and a few drops of an essential oil specifically suitable for oil burners, then place a tealight underneath. Follow the oil and tealight manufacturers' directions. Spiritual dressing oils are not automatically suitable for this burner.

Care: Use on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not let the bowl boil dry. Never leave a lit tealight unattended. Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials; allow to cool before handling.

Unusable due to poor craftsmanship

The metal bar of the stand was bent over. It could not be straightened because the bar was too strong. Consequently the wax tipped out onto the tabletop because the holder was not level.
If the makers had taken care to shape the holder accurately it would have been a very attractive item.
Poor workmanship.
I threw it away.
