Masala chai, meaning “spiced tea,” dates back over 5,000 years, believed to have been enjoyed by Indian emperors as an invigorating Ayurvedic drink. In the 1900s, chaiwalas began serving it in clay cups at railway stations, making it a staple of train travel across the subcontinent.

Over time, regional spice blends evolved, but we stick to the classics—ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and black pepper. Using only the finest, 100% natural ingredients, our Masala Chai is conveniently packed for home, office, or travel—just add hot water.

Founded in London in 2009, before spiced tea became trendy, Chai Xpress was born out of a passion for authentic chai, inspired by the rich traditions of train journeys in South Asia.
