Used for centuries by Native Americans in purifying rituals and cleansing ceremonies, the distinct clean scent of white sage is believed to drive away any bad spirits. Palo Santo or 'Holy Wood' is the name given to the wood of Bursera Graveolens, a wild tree native to South America.
